Crimson blood dripped and pooled upon the ground as sharp claws dug into the human flesh, ruby pools piercing through the soul of the damned before allowing the body slump to the ground in a pool of its own life. The demon turned to face the terrified youth behind him, their eyes interlocking ever so briefly before hearing voices around them. It was only briefly, for in a split second afterwards, the demon’s blood stained hands picked up the boy and ran down yet another corridor.
“Why do they keep chasing us?” The voice soft in is ear, the demon slowed his pace until he ceased running. He had no words to soothe the other. How could he find such words when his own heart was pounding in his chest, fearing what would happen to his lover if they were to be parted now after all they had born. “Jess?” The voice whispered into his ear again, bringing him back to his senses.
“It is because we run.” It was the only answer that Jess could give as the boy moved to stand so that he could look directly into the eyes of his love. He stared into ruby pools as he reached his hands forward to caress the demon’s face. As the voices surrounded them, they shared a passionate kiss as their power surrounded them, enveloping them as if trying to protect them.

The above I was hoping to do for NANOWRIMO, but it's so NOT happening. The above is also my third rewrite of the original story I've planned out, now called "Of Demons and Angels". My friend Nel and I originally started it as this extremely random OC-RP, but then I got my brain going with it and it finally evolved into the concept above.
The basic plot line of it is that when he was about seven years old and living out on the streets, Jess met a boy, who was five, and kind of adopted him as his younger brother. The boy didn't have a name, so Jess would call him Angel. They were together for several years and would grow strong feelings for each other, neither realizing that they were the reincarnation's of a Taboo (explained later in the story). A few months before Jess would turn eighteen, the two are being targeted by two organizations hell bent on possessing the magical powers the two unknowingly possess. As the demon and the angel continued to run, it is Angel who convinces Jess that they should; that if they kept running, all they ever would do is be hunted. When the two of them finally stop running, the magic within them suddenly surrounds them before enveloping them both in the opposing magic of the other ( hope that made sense --; ) leaving behind a ring on the middle finger of their right hands. Afterwards, they are seperated.
Then the story truly begins eight years later. Throughout the whole story, I was going to have it explain who Jess and Sei (aka Angel) are, why they were brought together and why it is the two of them who must stand up to those who believe their way is the only way before life is destroyed.
Will write more about this at a later date.
In other news, my parents just got home with their new puppy (pics eventually to follow on my DA). He's a fawn Great Dane puppy and his a half sibbling to the two great danes (Meg and Molly) that my parents got about five years ago. Moby is so freaking cute ;~; So, it lands on my head that Moby is my responsibility while my parents are gone and when I'm not at work. Not really that much of a chore given how easy he is to take care of. More money for me anyway
